Dental Service returns to Richmond
As the Service’s Founding Donor, the QCoal Foundation is very pleased the residents of Richmond and surrounds will again be able to access the oral health services of the RFDS Dental Service.
Since it began operation, originally as the QCoal Community Dental Service, the Service has visited Richmond five times, treated 406 patients in 713 visits and delivered over 3000 treatments.
Through ongoing visits, the Service has seen patients move from emergency pain relief to preventative treatments such as check-ups and maintenance.
QCoal Foundation Chair Christopher Wallin has welcomed the news that the RFDS Dental Service will again visit Richmond.
“2019 has been a challenging year for this community following the unprecedented flood event, so we are very pleased that the Service will be available to local residents,” Mr Wallin said.
“As Founding Donor, the QCoal Foundation is very proud that the RFDS, with the support of the Commonwealth Government, are continuing to supply high quality and much-needed oral health services to rural and remote Queensland.”
The Service will visit Richmond from 11 – 28 June and members of the community can enquire about an appointment by calling 1800 002 507.
